All special events in Avalon have been cancelled until further notice via an executive order from Mayor Martin Pagliughi.  The only special events that will continue this summer are free beach movies on Tuesday evenings, at approximately 8:45pm.  The Avalon Department of Recreation is able to socially distance families from each other and attendance does not conflict with the maximum allowable attendance established by the State of New Jersey.

The Mayor will rescind the prohibition of special events when it is safe to do so.

Please continue to wear a mask at all times, including outdoors when social distancing is not possible.  When you visit the beach or other public spaces, please ensure that you and your family remain at least six feet apart from others.  Continue safe practices of wearing masks and frequent hand washing.

The Avalon beaches are closed to the public at 9:00pm each day, and the Avalon boardwalk is closed at 11:00pm each day.  Parents are requested to be stakeholders in this safety practice with the Borough and encourage their teens/young adults to socially distance and wear masks, and avoid gathering in groups with others.

Thank you.
