Avalon Mayor John McCorristin announced the winner of the 2024 Avalon Beach Tag design contest held at the Avalon Elementary School during the school’s annual holiday celebration. Seventh grade student Charlotte Kosmin created the winning design which depicts and Avalon lifeguard boat and the fishing pier. Charlotte’s efforts earned her a plaque from Mayor McCorristin, the very first Avalon seasonal beach tag numbered 00001, and a canvas replica of her artwork. Her artwork will hang with all of the previous beach tag design contest winners in the foyer of Avalon Borough Hall created by Kimberly Mastriana. Congratulations, Charlotte!
