The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Borough of Avalon for Wednesday, February 20th, between the hours of 7:00am-9:00pm.  The Advisory has been issued in advance of a storm that will bring snow mixing with rain, and some sleet to our area.

A winter storm is expected to bring more snow to the north and west of our Borough.  Along the southern New Jersey coastline, the storm will be rain and snow Wednesday morning into the mid afternoon hours before switching to snow and sleet and back to rain in the evening.  There is the potential for one to three inches of snow during this storm; it all depends on how much mixing occurs along the immediate coastline. Well inland there will be more snow out of this system.

Please exercise caution while driving during this storm event as conditions can change in a short amount of time.  Continue to follow traditional media outlets for weather updates.
