Due to the order from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy on Saturday, March 21st, 2020, all Avalon municipal buildings are closed to the public and employees will be working from remote locations.  Please understand that this is a statewide emergency and these procedures will remain in effect until further notice.  All directives from the State override directives from County or municipal officials.

Please conduct as much business as possible via email.  Understand that phones to various departments will not be staffed and messages will be retrieved sparingly.  When possible, conduct business via email.  Avalon maintains a secure drop box in front of Borough Hall, 3100 Dune Drive, for which you can make various payments, and drop off essential documents.  This box will be emptied by personnel frequently.  If you need a question answered, click on the “Ask A Question” tab on the front of the municipal website and it will be answered as soon as possible.

Inspections will continue by the Avalon Construction Office.  If you need to make an appointment, please do do via email.  Plan reviews will continue.  If you have a planning/zoning application, please conduct this with hard copy via mail delivery.   Meetings of the Avalon Environmental Commission and Avalon Planning/Zoning Board are cancelled until further notice.  Arrangements are being made to conduct Avalon Borough Council meetings.  Additional information will be posted on the website.
