The Avalon Department of Recreation will begin its annual Big Beach Movie series on Tuesday evening, June 27th, at dusk. Free beach movies will be shown every Tuesday evening on Avalon’s 30th Street beach on a large inflatable screen through the end of August. In the event of inclement weather, movies are shown inside Avalon Community Hall.
“The Big Beach Movie series is one of our most popular summer events every year”, said Avalon Department of Recreation Director Chuck McDonnell. “We invite everyone to stop by for a fun, family movie and enjoy everything Avalon has to offer”.
The Borough has free parking throughout the community, and a free, 900 space parking lot adjacent to the 30th Street beach.
The Big Beach Movie series begins on June 27th with a showing of the animated movie “Sing”. The 2017 Big Beach Movie series is as follows, at dusk:
July 3rd (Monday)-Star Wars Rogue One (fireworks on Tuesday evening, July 4th)
July 11th—Pete’s Dragon
July 18th—Secret Life of Pets
August 8th—Finding Dory
August 22nd—Jurrasic World
