The First Frontier: Yeoman-Whalers and the Origin of Cape May County

at the History Center. Jim Stephens of Historic Cold Spring Village will discuss the 17th century whaling industry on Delaware Bay and how it eventually led to the creation of Cape May County in 1692.

Lego Competition

Calling all Lego Fans! The library will supply the Legos, you supply the imagination. Please leave your Legos at home so that you don’t lose your favorite pieces. For children in Grades K – 8.

Art Workshop: Valentine Wreath
with Joyce Kuhn. Make an original Valentine art project by decorating a wreath with various hearts and other shapes in different patterns. You can also spray with glitter or a “rustic-look” paint. Registration is required by calling 609-967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk. Avalon property owners may register beginning December 19. All others may register beginning January 2.
