Avalon Borough Hall will experience a total roof replacement this fall.  The Avalon Borough Council has awarded a contract to D. A. Nolt of Berlin, New Jersey to replace the aging roof on Borough Hall that has experienced some leaks and other minor failures.

The project is expected to begin in early October.  The contractor has 105 days from the Notice to Proceed to finish the project.  It is anticipated that the roof replacement will be completed before winter.

The contractor is meeting with Avalon safety and construction officials on a staging area and work plan for the project.  This project will result in the unavailability of some parking spaces behind Borough Hall and some heavy equipment on the exterior of the building, including a large dumpster for the disposal of older roof materials.  Only certified crane operators will be used to remove/replace building materials on the roof of Borough Hall.

The public is asked to recognize that the exterior of Borough Hall will be an active construction site during the fourth quarter of 2020.  Please exercise caution and safety when driving/parking in the parking lot and entering/exiting the building.  Thank you.
