The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of Cape May County for Thursday, February 9th.  The Advisory is in effect between the hours of 8:00am and 2:00pm.  There is the potential for one to four inches of snow for our region, but the expectation this morning is that the snowfall totals will be on the low end.  There is also the potential for sleet during this storm event.

A winter storm will bring about a half foot of snow to the Philadelphia region.  At the Jersey Shore, there will be some rain associated with this system and it may change to sleet and some snow.  Windy conditions are expected with northwesterly winds gusting to as high as 40mph.  If you have to travel north and west of our region, be advised heavier snowfall amounts are expected outside of Cape May County.  There is even the potential for a thunderstorm in our region during the early morning hours on Thursday.

Exercise caution while driving especially during snow and sleet conditions.  If you have any emergency, dial 911.
