The Borough of Avalon, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, and the 7 Mile Business and Community Association kicks off its annual “Thursdays on Dune” concert series on Thursday, June 22nd.  Free concerts will be held every Thursday through August 24th at Avalon’s Veterans Plaza, located at 21st Street and Dune Drive.

The “Thursdays on Dune” concert series begins with a performance by Avalon’s favorite local singing group, the “7 Mile Singers” who sing popular and Americana songs.  Starting Thursday, June 29th, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce sponsors various fun activities throughout Avalon’s downtown district starting at 5:30pm before the weekly concert begins at 7:00pm.  All activities and performances are free to the public.

June 29th—63rd Army Band (Military Appreciation Night)

July 6th—40 North

July 13th–Bluebone

July 20th—Legendary Bar Busters

July 27th—BLT Orchestra

August 3rd—Eleven Eleven

August 10th—Jersey Sound

August 17th—Boy in Black/Johnny Cash Tribute

August 24th—Jumpers

In addition, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Pets on Parade on July 27th and Baby Parade on August 3rd, in advance of the Thursdays on Dune concert.
