Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi and members of Borough Council hosted a luncheon at the Avalon Senior Center for individuals who volunteer their time and talents to provide programming at the Center.  The luncheon was held Wednesday, September 27th.

“The volunteers in Avalon are truly the fabric of this great community”, said Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi as he addressed the volunteers.  “We are very appreciative of their efforts and proud to offer a very active social gathering center for our residents and friends”.

Presentations were made by Mayor Pagliughi to:

-Theresa Montgomery, who has taught Bridge at the Senior Center for 18 years;

-Barbara Blake, who teaches Mah Jongg;

-Joan Fitzgerald, who has taught Pinochle, Spite ‘N Malice, and Canasta at the Senior Center for six years;

-Agnes Kelly who fills in for Joan when she is unable to attend.
