Beach Tags Required:  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mayor Martin Pagliughi has signed an executive order that will require beach tags on Avalon’s beaches as of Friday, July 3rd, 2020.  Seasonal tags will cost $25 through June 30th, 2020; as of July 1st, tags will cost $30.

Beach Tag Booth:  The Avalon Beach Tag booth is open for the season from 10:00am-4:00pm daily.  Customers must wear masks to conduct a transaction.  Customers are required to stand six feet apart in line before they purchase their beach tags.  The booth is located at the corner of 30th Street and Avalon Avenue.  Again, beach tags are not required until Friday, July 3rd.

Mail-in Program:  The mail in program expired on May 31, 2020.

Beach Tag Phone Application:  You may also purchase your beach tags through the Viply telephone app, available for both Android and Apple phones.  You will pick up your actual tags at the Avalon Beach Tag booth or from beach tag checkers when they go on duty starting July 3rd.  The url to learn more is https://www.viplypass.com/avalon-beach-tags/

Rules and Regulations:  Social distancing is required this summer on the Avalon beaches.  When you or your family arrives at the beach, please select a location that is six feet apart away from other guests.  The use of face masks this summer is strongly encouraged.  Avalon officials will be patrolling the beach on ATV’s this summer to require social distancing when necessary.  There are no organized events, camps, activities, or sports on the beach per gubernatorial executive order until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Lifeguards are on duty at selected beaches; only enter the ocean in the presence of a lifeguard.  Dogs are prohibited from being on the beach until September 30th; dogs are prohibited from the Avalon Boardwalk at all times.  Avalon is a no smoking beach.  Other rules and regulations are available at www.avalonboro.net.
