(Avalon, NJ)—Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi announced that he is amending his executive order that regulates short term rentals per a resolution approved by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders on Tuesday, May 26th.  Short term rentals were previously allowable on Monday, June 1st; they now can begin immediately. Long term, seasonal rentals were allowable as of May 11, 2020.

The Board voted last night to amend Resolution 317-20 that established guidelines for short term rentals for which many communities, including Avalon, have followed.  The resolution now permits municipalities to pick any date between May 26th through June 1st to allow short term rentals to begin.
