The Avalon and Stone Harbor Elementary Schools recently launched avalonstoneharborschools.org, a new website that offers everything you need to know about each school right at your fingertips.

“The new website will give our parents and the public a true insight as to how our K-8 academic program is implemented,” said Dr. Renee Murtaugh, the curriculum coordinator.

The website, designed by 7 Mile Publishing and Creative, has a responsive web design, so whether you are viewing it on your mobile phone, tablet or desktop, the page adjusts to the device allowing for less scrolling, panning and resizing while browsing and accessing important information.

The Avalon and Stone Harbor Elementary School districts were consolidated for the 2011-12 school year. Students from both communities in kindergarten through fourth grade attend Stone Harbor Elementary, and students in grades 5-8 attend Avalon Elementary.

The website features tuition information, registration pages, school forms and documents and the school calendar, all just a click away.

“We invite everyone to visit our new website for the Avalon/Stone Harbor Schools. See all that we have to offer,” says Stacey Tracy, the chief school administrator.

Avalon and Stone Harbor Elementary Schools offer a comprehensive elementary-school curriculum. In addition to the core subjects, there are classes in art, vocal music, instrumental music, library, Spanish, physical education, health, computer technology, band and drama. With small class sizes (fewer than 20 pupils), students receive the individual attention they need to not only succeed, but to excel past their peers.
